You have just released the happy endorphins in my brain.
This was FABULOUS! And the expressions match the dialogue so perfectly.

Is it sad that G'Nort seems to understand Civil War better than most of Marvel's editorial staff?
Wonderful, wonderful stuff.

I may have to retire.

Jason, I bet Gnort could do better than any of them... Personally I avoid like the pest "Giant crossover" concept comics à la Secret Wars or Crisis: You've read one, you've read all )I only indulge when there's beautiful artwork, alas, the flesh is weak)

Just last night I printed this off, folded it up and pushed it through Brad Meltzer's letterbox.
With "there's irony for ya" written on the back in green ink.

People keep forgetting - everything that's happening in the "mainstream" Marvel universe (as opposed to say the Ultimates) is in the Decimation stream.
This is NOT the 'real' Marvel universe. Wanda Maximov (aka Scarlet Witch) rearranged the universe TWICE after accidentally killing Hawkeye - the first being the House of M where she made everyone a mutant - the second was Decimation where she eliminated almost all mutants.
That's where we are now.
If you read X-Factor, you know that this metastory is coming to a head sooner than later and when it does, it all gets either reset, or rearranged again.
For what it's worth - none of this was secret or hidden - Marvel TOLD everyone this was happening years ago and that in the end, it'll get reset to something close to the original universe "with some repercussions".
They did it just so they could try something big with widespread impact, like unmasking Spidey and killing Cap.
