Alan Davis's work in Miracle Man is by far my favorite of everything he's done. It's great. After I read that, I couldn't understand for the life of me why Alan Davis isn't on a really high profile project.
"I have a flair for excessive violence..." when he said flair I imagined him saying it in a gay way, "I've got a flair for excessive violence. It's fabulous." Also, he has a flair for punching dudes in the nuts so hard it makes a dent in their body. And he's doing it while completely nude. Wicked!
As much as I loved THE NAIL and SUPERBOY & THE LEGION (or whatever it was called), I wish Davis would commit to a good long run on a book with a great writer working in his prime. He did some great work with Moore and Delano, and I'd love to see him working with Morrison, Ellis, Ennis, Brubaker, Vaughn. Someone who'll push him a bit harder, out of his comfort zones.
Seth: I loved it too. I got lucky a few years back and was able to get pretty much the entire run for about five bucks. Too bad there have been so many problems republishing it.
Oxy: If it's not wicked, then I don't know what is.
Sally: That would be a shtik naches!
Jonni: Hey! I've got a few more lazy-assed, pseudo-posts to go this week, so just you wait, mister!
Mark: Davis and Morrison on BATMAN or JLA would be just one of my many fan-boy wet dreams.
