Mmmm...Delicious Golden Sponge Cake.

Best twinkie ad ever

This has to be the weirdest Hostess ad I've ever seen. I'd love to know who scripted and penciled it. If I had to guess about the art I'd say Don Heck with inks by John Severin maybe? Anyone? Anyone?

***Dwayne has just revealed to me the existence of Seanbaby's Hostess Page. Go there and bask in the glory of the Twinkie and the Fruit Pie.

Seanbaby has EVERY FRIGGIN Hostess ad ever published. He also has an interview with Bob Rozaskis.

I'm at work or else I would sprinkle in HTML goodness & make this clickable

I think it would have worked better if they had shown the Cube using its power to manifest some kind of mouth so it could actually eat the freaking thing. Or are kids supposed to just buy the Twinkies and dance next to them?

Must...go...get...twinkies. According to the Simpsons, if you leave them long enough, they turn into liquor.

I'd guess that this was drawn by Sal Buscema.

like mark said, it looks like sal buscema, and the inking looks like frank giacoia.

I like how they put: "Note the Cosmic Cube can do anything" at the top.

Also, who says "By George Washington!"? That's one kooky catchphrase.

I can definitely see the Buscema now. I can usually spot his noses, but Cap's seemed a little out of focus. And the Skulls...

I'd go with Sal as penciller, but suggest Al MIlgrom as inker. Perhaps.
