I distincly remember when this JLA Annual came out and my LCS guy handed to me out of my pull box while rolling his eyes. My reaction was the same as yours, I'll bet:
"Are you kidding!?! Art Adams doing Justice League Apes?!? That's a little slice of comic heaven, right there, man!!

Hee hee hee. This pleases me enormously. The idea of Batgorilla flinging his own feces at fleeing villains is just so...perfect.
